Ocean Kiss Autumn Cowl
Thrilled to present to you the Ocean Kiss Autumn Cowl a brand new crochet pattern using the same stitch combination as my Ocean Kiss Summer Collection – if you are not familiar with these patterns click here to jump to the Summer Collection blog post.
For the Autumn Cowl, I have returned to Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball. but wait for it, instead of using my faithful 9mm crochet hook, instead, because this time I wanted a closer stitch, I have used a 6mm hook.
You all know I am a massive fan of this beautiful yarn, with it’s gorgeous colour palettes and soft, luxurious feel.
When I wear the items I have made with this yarn I am always stopped and complimented by strangers on how pretty the yarn is.
I started to make the first sample in Graceful Green which is a sumptious mix of shades of green, milk chocolate, and light beige with a gold metallic thread running through.
The second sample (I always make at least two) I used Cleansing Quartz which has now become my new favourite colour – it’s a mix of greys from charcoal through to dove grey, moving into light and dark beige with silver thread running through – I cannot tell you how twinkly this one is and would look stunning with a simple black dress or coat.
You will have to tell me which is your favourite, I will release the photos of both, but I think the Cleansing Quartz will be my lead photo – I just love it. It would be easy to walk past in the store but when you start to crochet and the colours appear it really has the WOW factor.
As with my previous patterns Ocean Kiss Autumn Cowl is an intermediate pattern, you will need just one ball of Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball and I estimate it will take you approximately 10-12 hours, due to the smaller hook size.
The PDF has easy to follow pattern instructions written out fully in both US and UK terms to avoid any confusion.
